The Addiction Research Institute (INID in Spanish) as a promoter of scientific advances in addictive behaviors and health fields publish the journal Health and Addictions addressed to professionals and researchers involved in this context. The aim of this journal is become a meeting point for different disciplines offering a wide publishing range from both basic and applied research in keeping with a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach.

The journal Health and addictions (Salud y Drogas) (ISSN: 1578-5319) was created in 2001 by INID at Miguel Hernández University (Spain). It was created to improve methods and therapeutic techniques in the health field developing a critical vision about the drug addiction's phenomena and health promotion perspectives, providing a cooperation framework within the commitment to ethics and human rights between researchers, teachers, scholars and specialists.

In this sense, original papers in the area of treatment, prevention and social rehabilitation, as well as epidemiological, descriptive and basic studies about other addictive and health behaviors are published in this journal.

We hope that you find in our pages whatever you need to keep on moving forward and we encourage you to participate with your own work.
